Gillespie Group was recently recognized as a leader in the business community by being presented with the 2014 ATHENA Organizational Leadership Award! This award is presented to a business or organization that creates an organizational culture which encourages female employees to achieve their full leadership potential. Its recipients are those who have made outstanding, meaningful contributions to the community, empower women, and support the area’s success and development.
Vice President Rachel Michaud accepted the award at Wednesday’s ceremony. “There is nothing more rewarding than helping someone achieve their full potential,” she said. “At Gillespie Group, we have created a culture that is especially supportive of women as they develop into the leaders of tomorrow.”
The ATHENA Awards were presented by the Lansing/East Lansing Chapter of The Links, Incorporated at the White Rose Gala. The Gala is held each year to celebrate Women’s History Month. In addition to presenting the awards, the ceremony highlighted the chapter’s community service efforts. Gillespie Group was honored to be acknowledged and to spend the evening talking with local community members and business, legal, health and education leaders.
